Phinefibre displaying at Hebden Bridge Open Studios
Fibre and mixed media artist Josephine Gornall is showing at the Hebden Bridge Open Studios from 5 to 7 July, 11am to 5pm, one of 98 artists and makers displaying their works at the popular event.
Josephine’s beautiful Birchcliffe Centre Phinefibre Studio, which she moved into late last year, is one of a host of intriguing indoor and outdoor venues included in the Open Studios festival this year and will form an ideal backdrop for her art, she says.
“The masks I’ve made recently are proving very popular and attracted plenty of attention at the recent Heatons Art Trail (www.heatonsartstrail.com )” Josephine notes. “I’ll be uplighting some of them in the studio, which will create a stunning effect for visitors to enjoy.”
Illustrator Harriet Quilty will be guesting in the studio to add even more artistic variety, on top of Josephine’s wall hangings, canvasses, jewellery and adorable needle felted animal figurines.
On the Saturday from 3pm, Phinefibre at the Birchcliffe Centre is hosting a live music afternoon with drinks and snacks, everyone welcome.
